Today Louise Evans, aka Felt Mistress conducted a workshop with us, in which she discussed her work, her working method and taught us how to make simple felt monsters.
Originally trained in fashion design and millinery, Louise has brought many of the skills learnt through years of work as a couture dress maker to the world of character design. She creates felt creatures with her partner, illustrator Jonathan Edwards. Her work is so beautiful and she gave us such an insight into creating interesting and quirky characters. I will photograph the creature I made and upload it soon.
