Minutes of the proposed Friends of Northwich Library meeting,

1. Will announced that he will be leaving group to follow political career
2. Michael proposed that we accept the minutes from the last meeting
3. Agreed that we would continue without an accountable body until we start to raise vast sums of money. In the meantime we will ask independent person to sign off on our accounts. Sandra will research what other groups do ST
4. Next meeting will be social event at Michael’s House
5. Discussion took place regarding our webpage – we appeal to anyone in the group with those skills to take a lead on this
6. Discussion took place regarding launch event. General summary is that event will be “street party” at library end of Northwich, with shops participating. Theme suggested is Alice in Wonderland. There will be music, face painting, storytimes and possibly mobile library. Some events will need to be timed/ticketed. Will ask people for donations to raise money. Concern raised that we are a small group and there may be difficulty in managing an event so need to keep it fairly low key. We need to be clear in our purpose – why are we doing this? Garden at back of library was raised again. Michael to investigate legal side. Invitation extended to all members – what can you contribute? MT
